About Us

We have 22 years experience in the professional coaching environment in four major rugby playing countries. Understanding the coaches’ frustrations is central to the development of the Dominant Contact Range, and the future technical support given.

Correct Practice Technique

Coaches of all grades and age-groups for many years have had huge difficulty to coach players collectively and individually core skills in the contact-area.

Players don’t get the opportunity to learn the correct contact-area techniques.

The reason being that coaches had no situation-simulation equipment and technical support available to them.

Today, many coaches no longer use tackle-bags and rucking shields. No game-situation is being simulated by tackle-bags and rucking shields.

Dominant Contact is a the ultimate coaching tool for coaches.

Injury Prevention

Coaches can only simulate the contact-area through the use of continual contact practice, but that leads to a high risk of player injury.

Research has proven that the most injuries occur during contact training sessions.

Professional-, semi-professional-, amateur- and youth players perform a minimum of contact-drills in training, because of the risk of injuries.

The lack of contact conditioning leads to a breakdown of technique during game-time, because of fatique.

This increases the risk of injuries.

Dominant Contact resolves this problem for the coach!

Gaining the edge in the Contact-area

The ELV’s made the intention of the IRB quite clear.

They are seeking to keep the ball for longer periods in play. There is now more phase-play than ever in the game of Rugby Union.

Furthermore, the IRB has emphasised to referees worldwide, that all players joining the ruck must be on their feet and joining through the ‘gate’.

Practising these skills are extremely difficult and problematic for coaches. The only way to create space, is to gain the edge through dynamic and dominant play in the contact area.

Dominant Contact is the solution.

The Dominant Contact Range of equipment comes with full web support.
